Hello, and welcome to the website of Carterton Primary School. Carterton is a small town in rural Oxfordshire. It is close to Burford and Witney. It serves the RAF Base at Brize Norton, and we have close ties with the base. Carterton Primary School is a large school with over 300 pupils on roll. Over 40% of the children come from service backgrounds, their parents working at RAF Brize Norton. We have two Foundation Stage Units at the school which cater for the needs of the children aged 3 to 5 years. The children start school full time in the year in which they will be 5 years old. They leave school at the end of the school year in which they reach their eleventh birthday and then they usually move on to Carterton Community College. The school supports children well and we have a team of teachers and support staff that are committed to school improvement.
